Become an ADI Trainer

Phil Hirst has been successfully training ADIs for over 11 years. He is now putting his skills and experience into training qualified ADIs to become ADI Trainers. His first courses were run in 2002 and so far over 50 driving instructors have become Trainers many of whom have achieved ORDIT accreditation.

TRAINING COURSE
The training essential to prepare you to become an ADI Trainer is usually carried out on a 1:1 basis though 2:1 courses are also run occasionally. The course lasts 5 days (30 hours) and can run on consecutive days or spread over several weeks.

ADVERTISING AND MARKETING SUPPORT

Once you have completed the course you are able to kick start your business by joining the National Register of Instructor Training Establishments (NRITE).

The NRITE web site will instantly give you an internet presence and will be the best value for money advertising you can buy.

MARKET
Each year over 20,000 people enquire about becoming an ADI and at any one time there are around 15,000 PDIs under training. If you attracted one PDI per month (each paying up to Ł2500) that would be a considerable increase in turnover without distracting you too much from your driving school business.

The market for ADI Trainers can be summarized as:

COST
The cost for the Training Course is Ł1295 inclusive for a 1:1 course, or Ł895 for 2:1 course .The training is essential if you are to develop the skills required to "train the trainers".
